Fireworks stand vendors wishing to conduct business in the City of Richland must obtain the appropriate permit(s) and adhere to the requirements below.
Fireworks Stand Vendors
Fireworks stand vendors who are stationary and operate for less than 30 days in a parking lot are considered an "itinerant merchant" and should complete an Itinerant Merchant Fireworks Stand Application
Requirements
The following items are required prior to business license approval:
- Completed Fireworks Stand Itinerant Merchant Fireworks Stand Application
- Complete list of firework inventory, please see RMC 20.02.278 - Manufacture, sale, and discharge of fireworks for approved City fireworks
- Letter from the person legally responsible for the property on which such display and/or sale is to take place:
- City of Richland Parks and Facilities Contract/Approval (if operating on City property)
- Permit, written agreement, or contract from property owner (if operating on private property)
- Detailed map of proposed location and layout
- Copy of active Washington State Patrol Fireworks Permit
- Copy of Liability and Property Damage Insurance
- Fire Department approval
Fire Department inspection and final approval is required prior to opening day.
Businesses operating on City property, must obtain approval through Parks and Facilities. Please call 509-942-7463 to begin the Parks and Facilities approval process.
Fees
Payment must be received prior to final approval.
