Advisory Boards, Commissions and Committees

Richland has a variety of advisory boards, commissions and committees that serve the City in different ways, including:

  • Advising the City Council
  • Deciding appeals or civil violations
  • Reviewing and making recommendations on land use and other related regulations
  • Taking public testimony on the City's behalf

Serving on a board, commission or committee (BCC) is a great way to get involved with your City government. The Richland City Council appoints qualified individuals with diverse viewpoints and expertise to serve on its boards, commissions, and committees. Members provide support and assistance to councilmembers in their governance and decision-making processes.
