Dumpster Service

Dumpsters, also known as drop boxes, are available for rent from the City. These large containers are available in two sizes: 20 yards or 30 yards. Review Drop Box Service Fees for current rates.

To start a Drop Box request:

1. Review and submit the Drop Box Rental Agreement form
2. Use the Drop Box Coordination Form to coordinate delivery, waste collection and return of the dumpster

Special Waste

Asbestos and petroleum contaminated soils can be disposed of at the Horn Rapids Landfill Monday-Friday. Please submit the appropriate forms 24 hours before your visit.

Asbestos Waste

1. Complete an asbestos waste shipment record form
   1. Please only complete items 1-11
2. Submit signed documents to solidwaste@ci.richland.wa.us at least 24 hours before your arrival at the landfill

Petroleum Waste

1. Complete a Waste Clearance Application Form
2. Submit signed documents to solidwaste@ci.richland.wa.us at least 24 hours before your arrival at the landfill

Commercial Landfill Account

Commercial entities who haul their refuse to the Horn Rapids Landfill may create a landfill credit account. To apply for an account, please complete the online Credit Application.
